1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, newsletters and other digital services operated by Pretty Good Group Inc. (“Pretty Good Group,” “PGG,” “we,” “us” or “our”) that display or link to these Terms (collectively, the “Services”).
Pretty Good Group Inc. owns and operates a portfolio of media publications and channels, including Must Do, Place Notes and The Bantr (collectively, the “Publications”). The Publications are brands and media channels operated by PGG and are not separate legal entities. References to any Publication in these Terms or through the Services refer to Pretty Good Group Inc. as the owner and operator of that Publication.
These Terms apply to prettygoodgroup.com, readmustdo.com, readplacenotes.com and readbantr.com, together with newsletters, forms, social media accounts and other services operated by PGG that display or link to these Terms.
Please read these Terms before using the Services. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms to the extent a binding agreement is formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the Services. Where express acceptance is required, we will request it separately.
2. Eligibility And Authority
Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding agreement where you live, use the Services only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Additional age restrictions may apply to a particular feature, promotion or advertised product.
If you enter an agreement on behalf of a business or other organisation, you must have authority to bind it. You are responsible for providing accurate information when contacting us, subscribing or entering a transaction.
3. Permitted Use
You may access and read our content for your personal, noncommercial use and use available sharing functions in accordance with these Terms and the relevant platform's rules. Businesses may access the Services to evaluate our publications and enquire about advertising.
You must not use the Services unlawfully, impersonate others, harass people, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, distribute malicious code, send unsolicited bulk messages, or interfere with the security or operation of the Services. You must not bypass access restrictions or attempt to access systems or information without permission.
Except where applicable law permits otherwise, automated scraping, bulk extraction, commercial republication, resale and use of our content to train or develop artificial intelligence systems require our prior written permission. These restrictions do not prevent uses authorized by us or protected by applicable law.
4. Content And Information
Our publications provide information, commentary, recommendations and entertainment. Content may reflect opinions or information available when published. Prices, opening hours, availability, event details, travel conditions and other information can change. Confirm material details directly with the relevant business or organiser before making plans or purchases.
Our content is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical or other specialist advice. We may update or correct content when appropriate. Please contact us if you believe something we have published contains a material error or infringes your rights.
5. Intellectual Property And Sharing
Content available through the Services, including writing, photographs, videos, graphics, designs, logos and branding, is owned by PGG or the relevant contributors, licensors or other rights holders. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you or claim ownership of material belonging to others.
You may link to our publicly available content and share it through the sharing tools made available by us or the relevant platform, provided you do not misrepresent the source, imply an endorsement or remove required attribution. Other copying, modification, distribution, commercial use or republication requires permission from the appropriate rights holder unless an exception under applicable law applies.
Permission to access the Services does not grant a licence to use the names or logos of Pretty Good Group, Must Do, Place Notes or The Bantr in your own branding, advertising or products. Contact hello@prettygoodgroup.com about licensing or permissions.
6. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of content you submit. When you intentionally submit material for publication or public sharing, you grant PGG a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, display and distribute that material as reasonably necessary for the publication or use you requested or authorized, including promotion of that published contribution. We may allow production and distribution providers to exercise these rights solely to support that use.
This licence does not automatically apply to private enquiries, confidential business documents or material supplied solely for campaign planning. Separate written agreements govern commissioned work, advertiser assets and any broader usage rights. We will seek separate permission for a materially different use that is outside the licence above.
You must own the material or have the permissions necessary for the proposed use, including relevant permissions from identifiable people where required. Do not submit unlawful, defamatory, misleading or infringing material, or information you have no right to disclose.
We are not obliged to publish unsolicited submissions or pay for them unless agreed in writing. You may ask us to stop future use of a contribution. We will consider the request and any applicable legal rights, but a request does not automatically require recall of material already lawfully distributed. Any further use must remain within the permission granted and applicable law.
7. Advertising And Commercial Relationships
Our publications carry paid advertising, sponsored content and brand partnerships alongside editorial content. Paid coverage is advertising. Where required, its commercial nature will be identified clearly in the relevant content or placement. A general statement in these Terms does not replace a required disclosure at the point where advertising appears.
If we use affiliate links or receive another material benefit connected with a recommendation, we will disclose the relationship where required. Featuring a business does not mean PGG owns, operates or controls it. Claims and offers must be considered in their context, including any applicable advertisement disclosures and the provider's terms.
8. Advertising Agreements And Payments
Advertising campaigns, content production and other paid business services are governed by the applicable insertion order, service agreement or other written agreement accepted by the parties. That agreement controls the scope, pricing, payment requirements, approvals, timing, cancellations, refunds, deliverables and ownership or usage rights for the engagement.
These website Terms do not add payment deadlines, discounts, cancellation charges or transfer of content ownership to an existing campaign agreement. If these Terms conflict with a separately agreed contract, that contract controls the relevant engagement. A website enquiry or general discussion does not by itself confirm a booking.
Audience size, past campaign results and examples on our websites are not guarantees of future reach, engagement, sales or other outcomes. Any expressly agreed campaign commitments remain governed by the relevant contract.
9. Other Businesses And Platforms
The Services may contain links to independent websites, booking services, retailers, advertisers and social media platforms. Their services, purchases and transactions are governed by their own terms. Review those terms, including cancellation and refund conditions, before transacting.
We do not control independent providers or guarantee their performance. Unless we expressly agree otherwise, PGG is not the seller, booking agent, event organiser or service provider for an offer featured in our content. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that applicable law places on PGG for its own conduct.
10. Newsletters And Privacy
Newsletter subscriptions and marketing preferences are handled as described at signup and in our Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting hello@prettygoodgroup.com. Subscribing does not guarantee a fixed publication schedule unless we expressly promise one.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information across Pretty Good Group, Must Do, Place Notes and The Bantr. Acceptance of these Terms does not itself provide consent to optional tracking or marketing where separate consent is required. Privacy rights are not limited by these Terms.
11. Promotions And Additional Terms
If we offer a giveaway, competition, event, paid subscription or another feature with additional terms, those terms will be provided for that activity. They may set eligibility, entry requirements, pricing or other conditions. If they conflict with these Terms, the terms specific to that activity control it, subject to applicable law.
Mentioning a promotion in editorial or sponsored content does not make PGG its organiser. The relevant promotion materials should identify the responsible organiser and applicable rules.
12. Availability And Suspension
We may maintain, update or change the Services and may remove or discontinue free features or content. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that the Services will be free of errors, security threats or technical problems. Changes to a paid service remain subject to the applicable agreement and mandatory legal rights.
We may restrict access or remove submissions where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, security risks or harm to others, or to comply with law. Where appropriate and practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us about the decision. Immediate action may be necessary for urgent or serious issues.
You may stop using the Services at any time. Ending access does not remove obligations or rights that properly continue, including intellectual property rights, valid submission licences and accrued claims.
13. Disclaimers And Liability
Subject to the protections below, the free informational Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties concerning their accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement. This does not override an express commitment in a separate agreement or a warranty or duty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
For business users, to the extent permitted by law and subject to any separate agreement, PGG is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the free informational Services, including resulting loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities or data.
For consumers, nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of a binding obligation or failure to exercise a legally required standard of care. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of the breach or was reasonably contemplated when the agreement was made.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer remedies and statutory rights remain available. Where an exclusion is prohibited, it does not apply.
14. Governing Law And Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable United States federal law, without applying rules that would select another jurisdiction's law. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections available under the law that would otherwise apply where they ordinarily live.
Subject to those mandatory protections and any separate agreement, disputes relating to these Terms may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and the parties submit to their nonexclusive jurisdiction. A consumer may also bring proceedings in another court where applicable law gives that right. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive any right to participate in a class action.
Please contact hello@prettygoodgroup.com so we can try to resolve a concern. Contacting us first is not a condition of exercising a legal right or seeking urgent relief.
15. Changes And General Provisions
We may revise these Terms for changes to the Services, business practices or legal requirements. We will post the revised Terms with an updated date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively alter an existing dispute or a separately agreed contract. We will obtain fresh acceptance where required by law.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be disregarded only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue where legally possible. A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive the right to enforce it later. These Terms govern use of the Services together with any applicable additional terms, without replacing separate written agreements.
